Devise Engineering is a leading structural and geotechnical engineering firm committed to delivering innovative, practical, and sustainable design solutions. Our projects span a variety of sectors including commercial, residential, industrial, and public infrastructure. We are seeking a motivated and technically proficient Structural Engineer (E.I.T.) with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our growing team.
As a Structural Engineer (E.I.T.), you will collaborate with senior engineers and project teams on the design, analysis, and documentation of structural systems. You will be involved in all phases of design and construction, contributing to project development from concept through construction administration.
· Perform structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, wood, and masonry structures.
· Assist in preparing construction drawings, specifications, and reports.
· Conduct site visits and field inspections to assess existing conditions or construction progress.
· Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders.
· Support senior engineers in project management and client communications.
· Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and design standards.
· Participate in quality control reviews and internal peer checks.
Required:
· Bachelor’s degree from an in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited college.
· E.I.T. certification with a minimum of 2 years of structural engineering experience.
· Proficiency in structural analysis software such as RISA, SAP2000, RAM, or ETABS.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· Experience with Revit.
· Working knowledge of building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
· Physical requirements: Employee is required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
Preferred:
· Experience designing in high seismic and arctic regions.
· Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
· Progress toward PE licensure.
· Familiarity with Bluebeam, Mathcad, or other technical tools.
· Experience with local and regional permitting processes.
